Two-Factor Authentication Setup

Protect your Zaza Technologies account with an additional layer of security. Two-factor authentication (2FA) significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your professional and educational data.

Why 2FA is Essential

With 2FA enabled, even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without your secondary authentication method. This is especially important for accounts containing student data, professional communications, or business-sensitive information.

What You'll Set Up

This guide covers:

  • Authenticator Apps: Using Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator
  • SMS Authentication: Text message-based verification (backup method)
  • Hardware Keys: FIDO2/WebAuthn security keys for maximum security
  • Backup Codes: Recovery options if you lose access to your primary 2FA method

Setup time: 5 minutes

Multiple Methods Recommended

We recommend setting up at least two 2FA methods: an authenticator app as your primary method and SMS as a backup. This ensures you can always access your account even if you lose your phone.

Backup Code Security

Treat backup codes like passwords. Each code can only be used once, and anyone with access to these codes can log into your account. Store them securely and never share them.
